ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The second River City Film
Festival is set to take place March 24, 2012 in the historic Princess
Theatre (1919) in downtown Decatur, Alabama.
The annual festival celebrates and promotes film as art and
education.
This is a competitive film festival. The 2012
Festival will accept entries for original short and feature films. To
qualify as a short, entries may not exceed 20 minutes in length and must
have been completed on or after January 1, 2010. Entries will be
classified and judged as Young Filmmaker Short, Young Filmmaker Feature,
Independent Filmmaker Short or Independent Filmmaker Feature.
The
River City Film Festival is a collaboration between the Princess Theatre
Center for the Performing Arts and the Decatur City Schools.
Winners will be awarded prizes. Screenings start the weekend of March
24, 2012. Filmmakers are
encouraged to attend and walk the red carpet!
An awards ceremony will follow at the historic Princess Theatre.
Screening times will be announced at least one week prior.

The Princess Theatre, in partnership with the Decatur
City Schools, sponsors the 2nd Annual River City Film Festival for
students and other filmmakers.
